A fatal crash in Cole County Monday afternoon has claimed the life of a Jefferson City man.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash happened around 3:14 p.m. on eastbound U.S. 54 at Brown Road.
A 77-year-old man driving a Harley-Davidson failed to stop at a stop sign and struck an SUV, then was ejected from the motorcycle and pronounced dead at the scene.
A 20-year-old woman from Macks Creek and her passenger suffered minor injuries and were taken to Lake Regional Hospital.
This marks Troop F’s third fatal crash in April and the 14th this year.
