Columbia Woman Charged in Stabbing, Held Without Bond

A Columbia woman is facing charges after a stabbing Monday morning.

Police say 27-year-old Nakia Bonaparte is charged with second-degree assault and armed criminal action.

Officers responded to the 1000 block of Claudell Lane, where they found a victim with cuts to the chest and arm.

According to court documents, witnesses say the incident started as a fight before Bonaparte allegedly pulled a knife, stabbed the victim, and then slashed the tires of a vehicle the victim tried to get into. She then left the scene.

Bonaparte is currently being held in the Boone County Jail without bond.
