A Boonville man is facing federal charges in a child exploitation case.
A grand jury has indicted 35-year-old Lance Aaron Larkin on counts of receiving and possessing child sexual abuse material, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Missouri.
Investigators with the Missouri State Highway Patrol say they identified a file being shared from Larkin’s IP address during an online child exploitation investigation.
A search of his home and electronic devices allegedly uncovered thousands of illicit images and videos.
If convicted, Larkin faces up to 20 years in federal prison without the possibility of parole.
