Lake of the Ozarks Boat Crash Injures Five
What started as a fun Memorial Day outing on the Lake of the Ozarks, ended with five people in the hospital after a boat crash Monday morning.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says a boat carrying one adult and four children struck a partially submerged log near the 38 mile mark around 11:30 a.m.
Troopers say all five people on board including children between 12 and 13 years old suffered injuries ranging from minor to moderate and were taken to Lake Regional Hospital.
Investigators say none of the passengers were wearing life jackets at the time of the crash.
