The Mizzou women’s golf team capped off the best season in program history Monday with a 12th-place finish at the NCAA Championship.
The Tigers posted a team score of 23-over par during the four-round national tournament, marking the highest finish ever for the program.
Freshman Ebba Liljeberg led Mizzou with a two-over tournament score, finishing 30th nationally, while senior Addie Dobson and junior Fleur van Beek also posted record-setting performances. The finish caps a remarkable turnaround for the Tigers, who climbed from 120th nationally just a few years ago to becoming a national championship contender under head coach Caroline Westrup Gaeta.

The Kansas City Royals fell to the New York Yankees 4-3. last night
Michael Massey put the Royals on the board with a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the second.
In the sixth, Salvador Perez blasted his 9th home run of the season tying George Brett’s historic stadium record of 136 homers at Kauffman Stadium to draw the score level at 2-2.
Bobby Witt Jr. seemed to put the game away in the bottom of the eighth, launching a go-ahead solo home run inside the left-field foul pole to give the Royals a late 3-2 lead.
Down to their final three outs, the Yankees rallied against Royals closer Lucas Erceg.

The St. Louis Cardinals fell to the Milwaukee Brewers 5-1 last night,
The Milwaukee Brewers jumped to an early lead in the first inning against St. Louis Cardinals starter Matthew Liberatore.
Brewers starter Jacob Misiorowski completely controlled the game, carrying a no-hitter into the sixth inning before Pedro Pagés broke it up with a bloop single.
Misiorowski tied his career high with 12 strikeouts and threw an unprecedented 57 pitches at or above 100 mph—the most recorded in a single game since pitch tracking began in 2008.
