Drivers in Boone County should expect major delays as construction begins Monday at the I-70 interchange with Routes O and J.
The Missouri Department of Transportation says ramps to and from westbound I-70 will be closed while crews reconstruct them, with work expected to continue through the end of November.
Detours will route drivers via U.S. 40, Missouri 240, and other local roads. Once complete, one lane of westbound I-70 traffic will be shifted onto the new ramps.
This project is part of MoDOT’s Improve I-70 Program, which is adding a third lane in each direction across the state.
