One Arrested for Meth Possession in Callaway County

A Warsaw man was arrested in Callaway County on drug charges on Monday.

Probable cause statements say that deputies suspected 24-year-old Jonathan Chapman when he was sitting at a gas station without fueling his vehicle, and that when they talked to him, he was visibly shaky.

A K-9 later searched the car and alerted authorities to drugs, and inside the car they found 44 grams of methamphetamine, as well as a scale with white powder, a glass pipe, and a revolver.

Chapman has been charged with Second-Degree Trafficking Drugs, Operating a Motor Vehicle Without Financial Responsibility, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Unlawful Use of Weapon.

He is being held in the Callaway County Jail without bond.
