A Columbia man is facing multiple felony charges after allegedly threatening to harm himself, family members, employees, and law enforcement officers.
Police say 43-year-old Brandon Shoupe made the threats Tuesday and warned officers he would harm them if they tried to take him into custody.
Detectives later located Shoupe near U.S. 63 and Conley Road using the department’s FLOCK camera system.
Authorities say he attempted to flee during a traffic stop but was arrested.
Police recovered two firearms and a suspected controlled substance.
Shoupe is being held without bond, and the investigation remains ongoing.
