Former Mexico Activities Director Jeff Anderson has been named Missouri’s Girls Track Official of the Year by the National Federation of State High School Associations and MSHSAA.
Anderson received the honor during the state track and field championships in Jefferson City after seven years as a track official and more than four decades in the sport.
Anderson credits much of his success to late Mexico coaching legend Ron Whittaker, who mentored him as an official.
Anderson says Whittaker’s guidance continues to shape his work today as he mentors younger officials and helps support student-athletes across Missouri.
