The series opener turned into a high-scoring marathon defined by powerful hitting, seven Minnesota pitchers, and a 67-minute thunderstorm delay.
The teams traded runs early before the Royals surged ahead in the 6th inning.
Immediately after the rain delay, the Twins tied the game 6-6 in the bottom of the 6th.
