Opponents of data center development in Missouri are set to rally This morning in Jefferson City ahead of a closed summit for local government leaders.
The Missouri Rural Crisis Center and the No MO Dirty Data Center Coalition say the public is being excluded from discussions about the future of data centers in the state.
The Local Government Data Center Summit will feature panels on economic impacts, energy and water use, and regulatory issues.
Governor Mike Kehoe, who has championed major data center projects and Missouri’s role in artificial intelligence growth, is scheduled to deliver opening remarks at the event.
