Bond Set for Man Accused of Hiding Suspect in Kayla Huff Case

A Randolph County judge has granted bond for a Moberly man accused of helping hide a murder suspect connected to the death of 16-year-old Kayla Huff.

Twenty-four-year-old Skyler Powell faces a charge of hindering prosecution after investigators say he concealed Alayna Mason, who is charged with murder and kidnapping in Huff’s case.

Judge Mason Gebhardt set Powell’s bond at $250,000, with his next court appearance scheduled for August 19.

Huff disappeared on May 6 and was later found dead.

Four adults and one juvenile have been charged in connection with the investigation.
