Moberly Man Charged for Stealing Tech Off Police Car

A Moberly man is behind bars after allegedly stealing a radar from a patrol car.

46-year-old Ross Van Cleve was charged today with Felony Stealing and Burglary. Earlier this week, he was also charged with misdemeanor Driving while Intoxicated.

The items from the police car were reportedly stolen in early April, but officers only found the missing items when they were interviewing Van Cleve for his DWI incident, at which point new charges were filed.

In total, the stolen items were worth about $3,930 in value.

Van Cleve is being held in the the Randolph County Jail on a $10,000 bond.
