A juvenile is seriously injured following a crash in Morgan County that Missouri State Highway Patrol says happened during a pursuit.
Investigators say the crash occurred Wednesday night on Missouri Highway 5, about 1,500 feet south of Private Smooth Hill Drive.
Troopers say a 16-year-old male driving a Chevrolet pickup lost control after a tactical vehicle intervention was conducted by a Ford Explorer driven by a 40-year-old man from Jefferson City.
Officials say the pickup skidded, overturned, and the driver who was not wearing a safety device was ejected from the vehicle. He was flown to University Hospital in serious condition.
The driver of the Ford Explorer was not injured. The crash remains under investigation.
