A 33-year-old Cole County man has pleaded guilty in federal court to two counts of producing child sexual abuse material.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Missouri, Anthony Pitts-Fugate admitted to the charges in two separate cases from 2023.
Federal prosecutors say the investigation began after he communicated with an undercover FBI task force officer and later expanded following a report to the Cole County Sheriff’s Office.
Court documents say investigators also found evidence he used social media to obtain sexually explicit images from minors.
Pitts-Fugate faces up to 60 years in federal prison, with sentencing to be scheduled at a later date.
