Authorities pulled 42-year-old Jonathan M. Cook’s vehicle over at about 9:09 p.m. last night on County Road 363, and he initially refused a search to his vehicle, but a K9 unit later arrived and alerted the deputies about the presence of drugs, while 55-year-old Wesley Mercer was his passenger.
Deputies then found a box with 42 grams of meth.
Cook was charged with Second Degree Trafficking Drugs and taken to the Callaway County Jail where he was being held on a $50,000 bond.
Mercer, who is being held on a $25,000 bond, was also charged with Second-Degree Trafficking Drugs.
