Columbia School Board Memeber Resigns

Columbia School Board member Jeanne Snodgrass is stepping down after accepting a new job that will take her outside the district.

The board is expected to officially accept her resignation during Tonight’s summer session.

Snodgrass, who was first elected in 2021 and reelected in 2024, called it a privilege to serve and praised the district’s students, teachers and staff.

Once her resignation is accepted, Columbia Public Schools will begin accepting applications to fill the vacancy, with the board appointing a replacement by majority vote.
