Mid-Missouri could soon have another data center in the works.
A Denver-based AI company named Crusoe is eyeing Callaway County for a new data center.
Crusoe hosted a public open house Tuesday to answer questions about its proposed project, which would be built in northern Callaway County.
While no contracts have been signed and construction has not begun, the proposal has already drawn mixed reactions from residents.
Some see the project as an economic opportunity, while others worry about potential impacts on water use, noise and the environment.
Crusoe says it’s committed to working with the community as planning moves forward.
