The Randolph County Sheriff’s Office announced in a press release that an officer was involved in a shooting this morning near Huntsville. They said that any officers involved are safe and there is no ongoing threat to the community.
This afternoon Missouri State Highway Patrol released that the shooting occurred at Tallman’s Trailer Court, where officers were serving a warrant for 36-year-old Thomas D. Crewse Jr.’s arrest. Reports say that when officers confronted Crewse, he pointed a gun at the authorities and that a deputy shot him in the torso as a result.
Crewse was brought to an area hospital where he has been reported as stable.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol Division of Drug and Crime Control will continue to investigate the incident.
