A Mexico man has been sentenced to prison after pleading guilty in a domestic violence case.
Jakob Matthew Bradley admitted to eight felony charges, receiving ten years in prison for three counts of kidnapping, one count of second degree domestic assault, and a count of child endangerment. He also received seven years for harassment and third degree domestic assault, along with a year in the Audrain County jail for a misdemeanor fourth degree domestic assault charge.
Prosecutors say Bradley assaulted a 25-year-old woman, then forced her and her three young children into a vehicle, driving through Mexico while ignoring traffic signals and threatening to hurt people with the car.
Court records show Bradley is a persistent felony offender. His sentences will run simultaneously.
