A Columbia man is behind bar after allegedly pointing guns at vehicles and making threats to police officers.
Officers responded to the 1400 block of West Worley Street at 11:45 p.m. Friday night.
A witness reportedly told officers that a man, identified as 53-year-old Glen Lee Parey, was standing near the street pointing guns at passing vehicles.
While officers were at the scene, Parey reportedly called 911 and threatened dispatchers and officers.
Officers were able to arrest Parey after help from the Columbia Police SWAT Team and Crisis Negotiations Team.
He was arrested for Fourth-Degree Assault, Second-Degree Harassment, Unlawful Use of Weapon, Resisting Arrest, Misuse of 911, and active warrants.
The Columbia Police Department said there were no injuries.
