Just before the 12:00 hour today, the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office announced a short manhunt where they urged residents to lock their doors while they searched for a suspect, after a pursuit that started near Battle High School in Columbia ended near Stephens, Missouri.
The manhunt ended around 1:30 p.m., despite authorities failing to find the suspect.
The Boone and Callaway County Sheriff’s Offices were looking for a white man with a thin build and brown hair, who was wearing a black hat, khaki pants and a light blue shirt.
A Facebook post from the department states that the man was operating an ATV south of County Road 284, through a field, before deputies lost sight of him.
