A Columbia neighborhood was the scene of a large police presence Tuesday evening as a SWAT team served a warrant on East Sexton Road.
around 6:45 p.m. there was a SWAT truck, multiple Columbia Police Department vehicles, and roads were blocked near Grand and North Garth avenues.
Emergency response vehicles were also staged at nearby John Ridgeway Elementary School.
Police confirmed the operation involved serving a warrant.
By about 8:10 p.m., officers had reopened the roads and cleared the scene.
