Three People Killed in Two Separate Crashes on I-70 in Montgomery County

Two separate crashes in the early afternoon hours of Monday killed three people on I-70 in Montgomery County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol announced two collisions:

The first crash happened around the 181 mile-marker between two tractor-trailers in which one driver was killed and the other was injured.

According to the social media post from the department, the second collision happened just minutes later, about a mile back, around the 182.2 mile marker, and involved a motorcycle colliding with a box truck around 1:48 p.m.

Both occupants of the motorcycle were pronounced dead at the scene, and both incidents are under investigation.
