Missouri Cyclosporiasis Cases Continue to Rise
Missouri continues to see a growing number of illnesses linked to the nationwide cyclosporiasis outbreak.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says 568 people in the state have been connected to the outbreak tied to Taco Bell or recalled lettuce from Taylor Farms de Mexico, giving Missouri the third-highest total among 15 affected states.
The Missouri Department of Health reports more than 1,000 confirmed cases statewide, including 96 in Boone County.
Health officials also say two people in Michigan have died, marking the first known deaths linked to the outbreak.
