Hallsville Teen Receives Sexual Abuse Charges
A Hallsville man is behind bars after being accused of sexually abusing a child.
19-year-old Mason A. Heard is charged with Incest, Second Degree Sodomy, and Second Degree Sexual Abuse in an Aggravated Sexual Offense, and multiple misdemeanors.
Court documents state that on July 6, a victim reported to Boone County deputies that Heard had sexually abused them when they were younger than 17 years old.
At a second forensic interview, the victim described the abuse to deputies.
Prosecutors filed the charges on Tuesday and Heard is being held without bond.
