Two Arrested in Deadly Hit-and-Run

Two Columbia residents are facing charges in connection with a hit-and-run that killed a pedestrian Friday night.

Columbia police say 53-year-old Shunta Bohanon and 55-year-old Sandra Sharp were arrested Saturday after Flock Safety cameras helped investigators locate them.

Police say 47-year-old Mark Hunter Junior was struck near East St. Charles Road and Remm Drive around 9:09 Friday night.

He was taken to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries.

Bohanon faces several charges, including first-degree involuntary manslaughter and leaving the scene of an accident.

Sharp faces charges including tampering with physical evidence and resisting arrest.

Investigators have not released additional details about the crash.
