Former Moberly Daycare Owner Pleads Guilty To Abuse Charges

A former Moberly daycare owner pleaded guilty to child abuse charges today. Naomi Hess was originally charged with four counts Abuse of Neglect of a Child, but pleaded guilty to four counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child after a report was made to Moberly Police concerning physical and emotional abuse at her daycare called Play N’ Learn/

The tip alleged that three two-year-olds and a three-year-old were abused.

Hess voluntarily gave up her daycare license to the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education on August 22, 2024.

She will be sentenced on November 4, 2026.
