Jefferson City Man Indicted on Fentanyl Charges
A Jefferson City man is facing three federal charges for allegedly distributing fentanyl, including one count tied to a death.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office says a federal grand jury indicted Bryan Isaiah Thomas on Wednesday. Prosecutors allege Thomas distributed fentanyl three times in Cole County in March, with one of those incidents resulting in a death.
The new indictment replaces charges filed against Thomas in July, adding the count alleging fentanyl distribution resulting in death.
The case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office.
