Wagner Appointed to Columbia School Board

Paul Wagner will be the newest member of the Columbia Public School Board.

The board voted unanimously Thursday to appoint Wagner to the seat vacated by Jeanne Snodgrass, who resigned in July after planning to move outside the district.

Wagner was chosen over Erica Perry, an MU Health Care business support coordinator and former elementary school secretary.

Wagner has lived in the district for 26 years and is involved with the Hickman Athletic Booster Club and the Sam Speake Memorial Scholarship Foundation.

He’ll serve the final year of Snodgrass’ term and be sworn in September 14.

Wagner can also run for the seat in the April 2027 election.
