Columbia Man Arrested After Sting Operation for Drugs

One Columbia man is in custody following a sting operation on Friday that revealed multiple narcotics.

According to court documents, Columbia Police Department Vice, Narcotics and Organized Crime Unit identified 25-year-old Randy Thomas Jr. as a narcotics dealer.

The officers agreed with a previously arrested individual to make a narcotics transaction to catch Thomas. The sting operation was then arranged in the 1400 block of Lambeth Drive where Thomas was arrested after officers found fentanyl, oxycodone, Adderall, and other drugs in his possession.

Thomas was booked into Boone County Jail and is being held without bond.

He was charged with Possession of Controlled Substance and First-Degree Trafficking Drugs or Attempt.
