Jeff City Man Receives Charges for Allegedly Chasing Juveniles with a Gun

A 21-year-old Jefferson City man is behind bars after multiple people accused him of chasing them with a firearm.

According to court documents, five juveniles told police on Saturday September 5th that a man in a purple Dodge Charger pointed an AR-style rifle at them and chased them from Olive Garden on Missouri Boulevard.

Officers found the vehicle in the Olive Garden parking lot and they spoke to the driver, who was 21-year-old Cassius Bello.

Court documents state that Bello allegedly told officers that he had chased and yelled at the juveniles, but that he did not point the gun at them.

Prosecutors charged Bello with one count of Unlawful Use of Weapon – Exhibiting and four counts of Fourth Degree Assault.

He was being held in the Cole County Jail without bond.
