I-70 Traffic Returns to Normal After Semi Crash

Traffic is back to normal in Columbia after a semi-truck crash shut down both westbound lanes of Interstate 70 early This morning.

The semi and trailer were removed around 5:30, with traffic returning to normal about 10 minutes later.

The crash happened near the Connector, where a semi was seen with heavy front-end damage.

The Connector over I-70 was also temporarily closed in both directions.

Crews worked through the early morning to clear debris and reroute traffic.

The eastbound lanes were not affected.
