Moberly Schools Report Swatting Incident

The Moberly School District is reporting a swatting incident to its parents and students. Superintendent Cristina Wright sent out a letter yesterday letting everyone know they were aware of the swatting and were investigating it.

Swatting is a newer term used to describe people who are involved in making a false or fabricated threat intended to trigger an emergency law enforcement response.

In the letter, Wright asked for families and students not to share, repost, or circulate the threatening content, screenshots,
usernames, or rumors on social media.

She also said the school continues to work closely with law enforcement and will communicate promptly with families if additional information becomes available.
