Woman Charged With Forgery
A Jefferson City woman is facing two felony forgery charges after police said she tried to use counterfeit money at Dollar General stores.
Court documents say 28-year-old Caitlyn McAlister twice tried to load $350 in fake $50 bills onto a debit card at a Schotthill Road store on August 22.
Police say she also attempted a similar transaction at a Dollar General on Route CC, where employees reported $550 in counterfeit cash.
McAlister was arrested August 25 and charged with two counts of felony forgery. She was being held in the Cole County Jail.
