A Columbia man was arrested Saturday after reportedly attacking a victim and dragging them into the woods.
Court documents allege that 20-year-old Carmine Cobb beat the victim and that the victim believed Cobb was going to kill them. They say that Cobb reportedly dragged the victim into the woods by their hair to hide from police, and stole the victim’s phone. Authorities say they found the victim’s phone with Cobb when he was arrested.
The documents also say that Cobb continued threatening the victim if they kept screaming for help.
Cobb was charged on Monday with third-degree domestic assault, second-degree kidnapping and felony stealing.
He is being held in the Boone County Jail without bond.
