Jefferson City Man Released After Guilty Plea

A Jefferson City man accused of sexually assaulting an 81-year-old woman with dementia has been released from jail after pleading guilty to lesser charges.

Court documents show Joseph Hull pleaded guilty Tuesday to two counts of abuse of an elderly, disabled or vulnerable person.

Hull was originally charged in 2024 with first-degree rape and first-degree sexual conduct with a vulnerable person. Court records say he was working as a certified nursing assistant at the time.

Hull was sentenced to 365 days in jail, but was released immediately after receiving credit for 730 days already served.
