Osage Beach Drug Investigation Leads to Arrests

Two 18-year-olds from Eldon are facing drug charges after investigators seized large quantities of suspected drugs from an Osage Beach home.
The Osage Beach Police Department says the investigation began after school officials reported suspected drug distribution at area schools.
On September 25th, officers served a search warrant at a home on Red Bud Road and arrested Terry Short and Malcolm Cortes.
According to police, the search uncovered more than 250 methamphetamine pills, ketamine, a handgun, other suspected drugs and cash. A second search of a package delivered to the home reportedly turned up more than five pounds of orange pills.
Cortes faces multiple charges and is being held on a $250,000 bond. Short faces a drug possession charge and a $25,000 bond.
