Moberly Builds New Fire Station
Moberly’s new Fire Station No. 2 will feature a two-story training tower, allowing firefighters to practice real-world emergency scenarios without leaving the city.
Firefighters and city officials celebrated the project’s progress Tuesday by signing a piece of steel that will become part of the facility.
The training tower will include live-fire drills, rope rescues and confined-space training.
The five-point-four-million-dollar project includes nearly one-point-two million dollars in federal funding through the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
The new station is expected to improve service on Moberly’s south side, with completion scheduled for May 2027.
