Eugene Man Faces Child Sex Abuse Material Charge

A 51-year-old Eugene man is facing a felony charge after deputies allegedly found child sexual abuse material on his electronic devices.

The Cole County Sheriff’s Office says Shawn Swan was arrested Tuesday during a compliance check at his home. Deputies say they found suspected illegal material on his cellphone, then discovered additional material on other devices while executing a search warrant.

Swan is charged with second-offense possession of child sexual abuse material, a Class B felony. He previously pleaded guilty to a federal charge in 2015.

Swan is being held in the Cole County Jail without bond.
