  • Peery Arrested as Fugitive

    Audrain County Sheriff’s Office arrested 21-year-old Audrain County resident Kristie Peery yesterday as a fugitive instate. Peery had not returned to jail after attending a treatment facility. She had been arrested in June in Mexico on drug possession and distribution charges as well as three failure to appear warrants.

  • Mexico Sewer Repair Closes Muldrow

    Due to a sewer repair, the passing lanes of South Muldrow street in Mexico will be closed from Boulevard to Buchanan Street tonight (Wednesday) from 6 p.m. until 11 p.m. Motorists are asked to use caution and plan alternate routes if possible.

  • Hendricks Street in Mexico Road Work

    City of Mexico along with Emery Sapp and sons will close Hendricks Street between Plunkett and Wade Street today. Road closure signs will be at each intersection….however, you will still be able to access the Vo-Tech center. The closure will start today and is scheduled to reopen on Wednesday, August 13.

  • KWWR Hosts Red Cross Blood Drive Today

    Country 96, KWWR radio, is hosting their annual blood drive this afternoon in Mexico. The event, held in conjunction with the American Red Cross, will be from 2-6pm at the Elks Lodge in Mexico. Walk ins are welcome.

    An 18-year-old Mexico man and two juveniles are in custody in Mexico, after a shots fired incident Saturday night. At approximately 9:45PM, the Mexico Public Safety Department responded to the 600 block of Grove Street in reference to gunshots being fired.
