Hannibal Police Report Narcotic Arrests on the Rise

The Hannibal Police Department is reporting they are seeing narcotic arrests on the rise.

There were 290 arrests in 2016 which is a 30 percent increase compared to 2015 which saw 223.

According to Hannibal Police Chief Lyndell Davis the increase in the arrests is largely due to the work of the anti crime enforcement squad which targets drug distribution in the community.
