The next superintendent of the Mexico School District is announced this (Monday) afternoon.
It is Dr. Zachary Templeton who has been the Assistant Superintendent for the last 5 years.
The position became open when current Superintendent Kevin Freeman announced he would be retiring from the district to take another job at the end of the school year.
Dr. Templeton will assume his new role beginning July 1st.
