A Missouri Senate Committee is discussing a school bathroom bill that would require restrooms, locker rooms and shower facilities be used by male of female students only, based on their biological gender.
The act proposes Missouri schools provide the best available accommodations for transgender students. This would include single stall restrooms, access to unisex restrooms, or even controlled use of faculty bathrooms.
Supporters believe this will provide safety and comfort to all students, while others find it discriminatory.
