Jefferson City Man Arrested After SWAT Standoff
A 39-year-old man with multiple felony warrants was taken into custody in Jefferson City on Tuesday, according to a police news release.
An officer on routine patrol spotted the suspect around midnight on the 200 block of Lafayette Street and the man fled into a nearby structure.
Police established a perimeter, and the Jefferson City SWAT team took over the scene at about 12:35 a.m.
Verbal announcements were made via a public address system, and the suspect surrendered shortly afterward.
Additional charges are pending, per the release.
