The execution date for the man convicted of murdering Randolph County jailers Leon Egley and Jason Acton in 2000 is now set.
The State has 24 hours from 6:00 in the evening of June 6th to execute Michael Tisius by order of the Missouri Supreme Court.
The killings of Egley & Acton occurred when Tisius and Tracie Bullington tried to free Bullington’s boyfriend Roy Vance from the Randolph County Jail.
The killings eventually led to a more secure jail being built in Randolph County.
