American Outdoor Brands Corporation to Break Ground in Columbia

A new distribution center in Columbia will be breaking ground in the next couple of months.

Governor Eric Greitens announced today (Thursday) that American Outdoor Brands Corporation which includes Smith and Wesson and Battenfeld Technologies new distribution center might create more than 300 jobs in Boone County.

The projected average annual wage for employees at the new center is estimated at $46,786 or about $22.50 per hour.

The facility will be built on 189 acres off of Route Z north of I-70 and should be about 550,000 square feet.
