Human Trafficking Bill

A bill that would help survivors of human trafficking was approved in a legislative committee.

House bill 261 would require businesses such as hotels and gas stations to display a poster with information on how to get help. The posters will include the phone number for the national human trafficking hotline, as well as a website where they can get help.

The bill has no apparent opposition in the legislature, and a date will be set for a hearing in the house.
