The new mayor of Sturgeon is talking about the towns plan for a police chief.
Danny Joiner says they still do not have a chief at the current time.
They are operating the police department with 1 officer and 5 reserve officers.
Joiner says that the council and city attorney will have discussions about changing a few things.
Former Chief Greg Halderman was removed from the position by the board of alderman last month.
