Family of Missing Woman May Soon Have Answers

The family of a woman reported missing from Morgan County in May of last year may soon have some answers.

On Tuesday, A concerned citizen contacted the sheriff’s office to talk with Darrell Willis in relation to the disappearance of Joanna Anderson. Willis told investigators Anderson’s boyfriend, Charles Swon had killed her during a disturbance. Swon had been diagnosed with terminal cancer, and did not want to spend his final days in prison, so Willis helped him move a 55 gallon drum containing A dismembered body to an area off Red Arrow Road.

Yesterday, the Boone County Medical Examiners Office confirmed the remains as those of an adult female.

Willis has been arrested for abandonment of a corpse and tampering with evidence.

Swon died in July of this year.
